MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU

If you are a pitcher, you probably have two important questions:
What can I do to throw harder?
How do I reduce risk of injury?
Unfortunately, there isn’t just one thing that will accomplish both goals, (wouldn’t that be easy) but that’s where we come in.
You want to throw faster and reduce risk of injury. Here are just a few of the questions we
need answered before we can answer your questions:
Do you move fast?
Are you strong?
Are you fatigued?
Can you produce power?
Who knows. That’s why we need to have a battery of testing done when you come to Bridge, to find out! There is a lot of physics that goes into interpreting dynamometry but that’s for us to worry about.
All you need to know is that we use dynamometry to give us objective information to
personalize an exercise program to address each deficit in order to improve pitchers ability to throw harder, reduce risk of injury, and monitor progress. Each athlete is different and will have different things to focus on, one size does NOT fit all.
TESTING DAY! What tests we're doing and what they tell us:

SO much information about each individual! Cool! Now what? You still don’t have your two questions answered. What can I do to throw harder? How do I reduce risk of injury?
With all of this objective information, we now have a clear path of what deficits(s) we want to focus on and have exercises for each component to help accomplish both goals.
Keeping in mind, while force production and speed are important components to
accomplishing your goals, mobility is a vital component in improving pitching mechanics.
